Editor-at-Large: Ambassador for the brand, contributor to the magazine and blog.
Editor-in-Chief: Managed junior editors and outside contributors for print and web; managed all magazine-related budgets; negotiated contracts with content providers and vendors; tracked invoicing and payments; selected issue themes for year and composed editorial calendar; assigned and acquired articles for print and web; edited features and columns for print and web; wrote “Editor’s Letter” for each issue; conducted interviews and wrote features for the magazine and website; worked collaboratively with art director to design issues; oversaw online education programming; attended conferences as a brand ambassador for WD; assisted with programming for WD events; devised content strategy and maintained brand standards across print, web, and social.

Native Content Editor: Managed the production of native advertising and marketing content and its promotion via social media. Wrote and edited, managed, and optimized campaigns based on analytics and data. Worked with sales teams to create content strategy for various brands. Managed client relations.


EBTH.com:
Content Editor: Edited, wrote, and researched copy for this estate sale company’s website, specializing in the area of twentieth century design. Assisted with internal communications through employee training and as part of the “Big Idea” company-wide innovation team. Added to the company’s public relations efforts by contributing to articles in outside media. Communicated with clients via the compensation process, in partnership with accounting and client services.


Jason’s Connection:
Content Director + Executive Assistant to the Founder: Managed all content for this nonprofit’s online magazine, at JasonsConnection.org. Produced podcasts, conducted interviews, wrote and edited content, acquired images for articles, sought permissions for third-party materials, oversaw the work of freelance contributing writers, set the editorial calendar, and did all content posts in WordPress. Oversaw social media promotion of all original content. 


Teachers College Press, Columbia University:
Production Editor: Coordinated all aspects of production for new education books, including management of project personnel, budgets, schedules, and author and vendor relations. Edited manuscripts per APA style. Paged books in Adobe InDesign and rendered figures and formatted photos for books in Illustrator and Photoshop. Proofread marketing materials. Scheduled and attended project launch meetings and maintained book production status reports and database for entire Press. Served on e-books team.


Franciscan Media, LLC (formerly St. Anthony Messenger Press):
Production Editor (promoted from Assistant to the Editorial Director/Given additional duties of Reprints Editor and Special Projects Manager): As Production and Reprints Editor: Coordinated all aspects of production for 40+ new titles, 30+ reprint titles, and several special multimedia projects per year, by creating and maintaining schedules, and managing internal and freelance personnel, budgets, and author/vendor relations. Copyedited and proofread all new and reprint titles. Content edited books. Researched and wrote for projects. Also served on the e-books team, contributed ideas to the acquisitions department for new product development, wrote entries and served as a team leader for the Press’ blog, and produced a multimedia piece for the Press’ website. Conducted a social media campaign for a series of books that doubled traffic to its website. As Assistant to the Editorial Director/Permissions Manager: Copyedited and proofread all books. Proofread for other departments as needed. Gave administrative and editorial support to the book department. Wrote new book press releases. Produced marketing sales sheets for all books. Maintained production schedule for staff. Maintained foreign rights database. Reviewed author queries. Handled author royalty and advance payments. Managed relationships between book department and authors. Managed author databases. Handled permissions and copyrights. Did various types of research. Planned company events as part of the Employee Committee. Also served as the company’s coordinator for employee-based innovation for the program’s inaugural year.


Custom Editorial Productions, Inc.:
Project Editor: Coordinated all aspects of development and production for books and other printed materials, including management of project content, art, personnel, budgets, schedules, and client, author, and vendor relations. Wrote, edited, proofread, and conducted research for projects. Paged texts in Adobe InDesign and Quark and rendered figures for texts in Illustrator.

Editor/Assistant to the Vice President: Edited and proofread text for use on Casemaker Web sites and CD-ROM legal databases. Gave administrative and editorial support to the Vice President and Managing Editor. Conducted research.


LPK:
Proofreader: Proofread product packaging and coordinated copy for various clients of this brand identity/packaging design firm.
